February 20, 2010 (Special thanks to the Green Bay Press Gazette for permission to reproduce this article) Cancer event at Bay Park Square ASHWAUBENON — Shoppers at Bay Park Square mall today can help battle cancer by supporting the high school student event "Sting Cancer Day." Students from area high schools will be collecting donations and promoting public awareness at the mall. Shoppers also can register to win a $50 gift card and other prizes. Sting Cancer began in 2004 when a group of students and employees at Preble High School started a group to help local families affected by cancer. The organization has grown to include more than 200 students at several high schools, including De Pere, Ashwaubenon, Green Bay West and Notre Dame Academy.
